Planning his first birthday

My son is turning one in April. I figure if I search for and gather ideas now, I'll be ready for his big day.
So here is my working idea list:
Centerpieces- A mason jar filled with a 1 candle and m and m's (See my pinterest, party ideas for pics)
Banner- A photo banner of pics of him from birth through 12 months
Food- I love the idea of turning cake balls into a larger shape
Decor- I want to cover an inside door with wrapping paper. Print the word ONE in several languages and add it to cardstock and patterned paper then add those words to the door. I think I will gift wrap my picture frames as well.........that or switch out the photos so it is a montage of my son. Hmmm... decisions, decisions
  Cookies and Milk Bar*** So doing this! With Alphabet cookies with the letter N and possibly number 1- need a good sugar cookie recipe
May do the wreath.... anyone know how long it will take?



Cookie Dough Dip**** I am in heaven!! .......maybe I should do a cookie monster theme???

Eating the Frog

The concept is simple, do the one thing on your to do list that is the one thing you dread the most- and everything else will be easier. For example, cleaning- my frog is dishes. Once I finish them all the other chores seem to be so much easier and simple. Paying bills, my frog, actually writing a check for the electric bill. I pay all my other bills online and it irks me to have to shell out an additional 0.50 cents for a stamp because my electric company won't get into the 21st century. Write the check, done- all the other bills somewhat, less painful. It's a new year and I want to be more productive with my time, so here goes... Time management- knowing when it's time to call it a night. Yup, Mark Twain, it is easier to eat the frog if you don't look at it directly, you just take the first bite. Which frogs will you be eating tomorrow?

Simply ask

My husband through conversation invited his coworker to our church. He and his wife have now been coming faithfully the last 6 weeks and even joined a growth group! We bought new cell phones recently and invited the salesman. He and his girlfriend have now come to our church 3 weeks in a row! All we did was ask. Sometimes sharing your faith is as easy as asking "Do you have a home church ?".

Signs you are a new mom
